We offer advanced surgical and minimally invasive options to diagnose and treat Obesity, Foregut and General Surgery diseases. We provide state-of-the-art treatment and care to our patients for them to achieve and sustain the highest quality of life. For patients with GERD or other esophageal disorders, we have a comprehensive Surgery Foregut & Esophageal Motility Center to for diagnosis and treatment.

Minimally Invasive surgery involves using several small incisions (less than an inch) and fiber-optic cameras to perform the operation. Sometimes robotic-assisted techniques are used. Advantages to the minimally invasive approach include less pain, quicker recovery times, and shorter hospital stays.

For patients with GERD, we provide a comprehensive program including (1) medical management, (2) education and assistance from Registered Dieticians, and (3) anti-reflux surgery. To simply your care, we provide all the necessary work-up to fully diagnose your GERD, including:

  • Upper Endoscopy (EGD): Use a camera to examine the inside of you esophagus and stomach to look for damage from GERD, stomach inflammation (gastritis), or other causes of abdominal pain
  • 24hr pH Acid Testing: Measures how much true acid reflux patients experience; useful to better diagnose and guide optimal treatment therapies
  • Esophageal Manometry Testing: Measures how well your esophagus squeezes and the tightness of your lower esophageal sphincter
