Academic Vascular Surgeon and Chief

The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Davis, Health System located in Sacramento, California, seeks to hire a full time Vascular Surgeon and Chief of the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the associate or full professor level in the Health Science Clinical Professor, Clinical X or In-Residence series. The Division of Vascular Surgery is a comprehensive academic program including an integrated residency in vascular surgery, basic and clinical research, an active clinical service, and affiliations with the Veterans Administration hospital in Sacramento and David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California.

The selected candidate will provide strategic and operational direction that will lead to growth of the educational, research and clinical missions of the surgical programs at UC Davis Health.  Expected responsibilities include teaching, clinical care, both inpatient and outpatient, and research relating to vascular disease. This individual will work collaboratively and integrate with our partners.

Qualified candidates must possess a Medical Degree; and be certified by the American Board of Surgery in Vascular Surgery.  Candidates must show a history of leadership and administration experience relating to clinical and educational programs and successful research activities, and be able to obtain a California Medical License and a California Fluoroscopy Operator’s Permit before the start date.   All candidates must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment.  Salary and level of appointment will be based upon experience and qualifications.
