Mentorship

ARC-MD mentorship is central to the program. Prior to joining in the pre-matriculation program, accepted medical students will provide their research interests so that they have the opportunity to meet with potential mentors from an early stage of their training. In addition to mentorship that is forged through research projects that students conduct with their research mentor, the ARC-MD core faculty also serve as mentors to help guide students along their medical training, prepare for their research-intensive year, and counsel them on their career paths. The mentorship program provides individual meetings with program faculty, tailored to each student’s specific needs, interests, and goals. Mentors can help locate funding resources and assist with applying for competitive scholarships and grants.
