Congratulations on your admission to UC Davis School of Medicine! The Office of Student Learning and Educational Resources is writing to tell you about our Summer Pre-matriculation program better known as “Pre-Mat” and invite you to apply. The enrollment is limited to up to 24 incoming first year medical students that come from diverse backgrounds and experiences that would benefit from an early introduction to learning methods and study approaches that will facilitate success in medical school. Using the course content the program’s educational specialists will assist students with learning approaches and study methods in a real-time environment and direct course application. The courses offered during this year’s program are: Human Anatomy (with lab), Biochemistry, Histology (with lab), Physiology and Clinical Reasoning and are taught by block 1 Instructors of Record. The Summer Pre-Matriculation Program begins on Monday, July 6 and continues through Friday, July 17.
There is no tuition to participate in the program and upon completion of the program eligible students will receive a $500 stipend that will be credited your student account. Housing and living expenses are the responsibility of the program participants
