UC Davis Health System Health-Care Provider CPR
There are no UC Davis Health System Health-Care Provider CPR classes scheduled at this time. Employees needing CPR must complete an AHA course and are encouraged to renew during the biennial CPR cycle coming in January and February 2015. Registration for the January and February 2015 biennial CPR renewal classes are coming soon. All employees who are required to maintain their CPR certification are encouraged to renew during this cycle (even those who recently renewed). There will be limited options for those who do not renew during this time until the next cycle occurring in 2017. Employees planning to maintain their CPR certification through an outside agency are not required to attend a renewal class.

This instructor-led course meets Joint Commission requirements for UC Davis Health System staff and is recommended for certification of internal UC Davis Health System health-care providers requiring *bag-valve-mask skill. Course curriculum follows guidelines based on current research, resuscitative science journals and papers, including the 2010 AHA guidelines for CPR and emergency cardiovascular care. High quality CPR steps for adult/child/infant and AED skills are taught. Class size is limited; please sign up early. Cancel registration if you are unable to attend.
CPPN certificates of completion will be issued to participants who pass the written evaluation and correctly demonstrate skills on the mannequins. If you need an AHA CPR card you should take an AHA course.
*Bag-valve-mask skill is a challenging skill that requires practice regularly to do well. Refers to any person who is required to have the skill of using a bag-valve-mask. Includes, but not limited to, M.D., R.N., L.V.N, R.C.P. Examples of excluded staff: physical therapist, dietitians, MOSC, HUSC, hospital assistant, medical assistant.
Prior to the course, participants are encouraged to study the CPR guidelines.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing or scrubs. You will be practicing skills that require working on your hands, bending, standing, and lifting. If you have physical conditions that might prevent you from participating in the course, please notify us prior to the course. The instructor will work to accommodate your needs within the stated course completion requirements.

$25 registration deposit. Registration deposit is returned upon completion of class. Cancellation must be requested five days prior to class date to receive deposit refund.
