Yoga classes for cancer patients and survivors

Come participate in a series of weekly yoga classes, open to all levels of physical ability – from beginners to advanced yoga practitioners. No matter what treatment you are receiving or where you are in survivorship, poses will be accessible to you. Each hour-long class provides a safe space for you to try something new. Join the UC Davis community in showing solidarity in reducing heart disease at this student-inspired, student-managed event. Activities include health assessments, Zumba, resources for heart-healthy eating, a MEGA heart walk-through exhibit, CPR instruction and the chance to help UC Davis break the record for the world’s largest heart formed by humans. Times: MEGA heart and CPR instruction, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; Battle Heart Disease Fair 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Location: Hutchison Intramural Field, corner of Hutchison Dr. and La Rue Rd., UC Davis (look for the large tent!). Red Carpet Black Tie Ball to benefit UC Davis Children’s Hospital

Guests are then invited to watch the live awards show telecast as they rub elbows with local celebrities, all to benefit UC Davis Children’s Hospital in its work to provide unmatched care to children in the Central Valley. Money raised will go toward patient care, programs, equipment and research at UC Davis Children’s Hospital. Tickets are $85 per person (plus service charge) and include dinner.
