By virtue of advanced education, specialty certifications and years of vascular care experience, the Vascular Center nursing team provides expert patient care, education and support throughout all phases of treatment. The patient-centered plans of care include education related to atherosclerosis, risk factor modification, pre and post procedure information and coordination of care between multiple vascular specialists.

Patient education is provided using various methods; face to face, telephone conversations, and related literature are all available in order to maximize patient comfort and understanding. Including family and significant others is also part of the uniquely patient-centered nursing care delivered by the Vascular Center.
