Urethral strictures
Contractures of the male urethra (urethral stictures) cause persistent voiding difficulties. They are often caused by trauma to the urethra, which may be as simple as a kick during a soccer game or complex, related to a fracture of the pelvic bones. Simple strictures may be treated by stretching techniques, but more complex problem require complex surgical reconstruction. Anthony Stone uses the full range of surgical techniques to manage urethral stictures including the use of skin flaps and buccal mucosal grafts to treat the full spectrum of these conditions.
