Clinical Interests

Dr. Boone has studied various aspects of breast imaging, including breast cancer screening, diagnosis and therapy, for nearly two decades. For the past decade, Dr. Boone's laboratory has focused on the assessment of dedicated computed tomography (CT) for breast imaging. Two breast CT scanners have been designed and deployed, with nearly 300 patients imaged in total. Dr. Boone is also interested in whole-body CT imaging, and currently chairs the International Committee on Radiological Units Committee on Computed Tomography.
