AHA Family and Friends CPR

The American Heart Association Family & Friends CPR course is for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card in CPR for their job. This course is ideal for schools and students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment by using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible. Come participate in a series of weekly yoga classes, open to all levels of physical ability – from beginners to advanced yoga practitioners. Science Friday

From exploring the outer reaches of space to the tiniest microbes in our bodies, Science Friday is the source for entertaining and educational stories about science, technology and other cool stuff. Created in 1991 by host and executive producer Ira Flatow, it’s much more than just a radio show (which airs on over 400 public stations nationwide). Experience a live taping of a show its creators describe as “ brain fun, for curious people.” Science Friday will be held from 8-9 p.m. at the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts.
