Occupational Health Nurses Week celebrates OHNs for providing health services to employees

(SACRAMENTO)

Occupational Health Nurses (OHN) Week is a national observance each April that celebrates and recognizes members of the occupational and environmental health nursing profession.

This year, OHN Week was held between April 7-13.

The week serves to bring attention and awareness to the thousands of OHNs who work in promoting and protecting the health of workers in the United States and around the globe. Occupational and environmental health nurses improve the health of employees.

Our UC Davis Health Occupational and Employee Health Clinic (formerly Employee Health Services) staff help improve employees’ health and create a culture of health and safety every day that drives the organization’s success by providing health services to employees.

Last week, during OHN Week, we celebrated our nursing professionals and Occupational and Employee Health Clinic (OEHC) staff who create a culture of health and safety in the workplace and dedication to workplace health and well-being. The staff were treated to breakfast, lunch, and giveaways throughout the week.

The week may be over but be sure to thank your OEHC department today.
