UC Davis Spine Center

Comprehensive care for spinal disorders

Excellence in care

The UC Davis Spine Center offers comprehensive spine care services. The program provides patients with an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to spine wellness. Patients are cared for by physicians who are part of the UC Davis School of Medicine's nationally recognized clinical faculty and utilize a state-of-the-art facility in treating their patients.

The center's experienced team of spine specialists and support staff work together to provide patients with consultation as quickly as possible, determine an accurate diagnosis and deliver the most effective treatments and therapies available.

As part of the region's only academic medical center, the spine center offers patients of all ages access to dedicated physicians who are actively involved in the latest spine research and clinical trials, and to new and investigational diagnostics and treatments.

A full range of inpatient and outpatient services

When surgery is recommended, highly experienced neurosurgical and orthopaedic surgical teams are on hand with the most advanced technology to offer appropriate surgical interventions.

Sharing expertise with one of the nation's best — and inland Northern California's only — level I trauma center, the spine center is uniquely equipped to handle a broad range of spinal cases.

Neurosurgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, pain medicine physicians, physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists, and radiologists work together as a team to create individualized short- and long-term care plans for each patient.

All spine center patients have full access to convenient in-house support services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab services, orthotics, and alternative and complementary therapies.

Continuity of care

The UC Davis Spine Center is committed to a team approach and works closely with patients and their primary care or referring physicians at each stage of the evaluation, treatment and follow-up care process. Please contact the UC Davis Spine Center for more information.
