I believe in providing equitable care to all my patients regardless of their medical, socioeconomic, or ethnic background. Undergoing anesthesia can be a vulnerable experience for patients and thus I strive to provide patient-centered anesthetics with respect and compassion.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Shirakawa is a fellowship-trained anesthesiologist specializing in cardiovascular and thoracic anesthesiology. Her clinical interests include the utilization of ultrasound techniques in the perioperative setting, such as transesophageal and transthoracic echocardiography, regional anesthetic blocks and vascular access.
