Philosophy of Care

Dr. Cain’s aim is to provide high quality, evidenced based patient care in a reliable and compassionate manner. She is especially focused on listening to patients’ specific concerns about their anesthesia on the day of surgery. It is her goal to help aleviate anxiety and provide a tailor made anesthetic experience for each patients’ specific needs.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Judi Cain currently works at both UC Davis and Sutter Roseville Medical center. She enjoys all aspects of her job and has been very excited to join the teaching faculty at UC Davis to offer guidance and instruction to the residents and fellows. Dr. Cain has a specific interest in using ultrasound guided nerve blocks and regional anesthesia to help provide the most comfortable post op experience for patients.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Cain’s research focus has been in the area of pediatric congential malformations that can be associated with difficult airways in the neonate.
