Breaking barriers to beat cancer

When faced with cancer, you want the best chance for an excellent outcome. UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center is breaking barriers to beat cancer through a commitment to excellence in cancer care:

Collaborative approach

Our approach to cancer care starts with teams of doctors who work together to develop the most effective treatment or combination of treatments for each patient. Your health-care team also includes highly trained nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, radiation therapists, clinical research coordinators and many other healthcare professionals.

Advances in research

Our physicians conduct clinical research and collaborate closely with laboratory scientists, ensuring that new drugs, advanced biotechnologies and other treatments developed in the lab can move quickly to the clinic to benefit patients.

Education and outreach

Our population sciences and health disparities research has resulted in critical education and outreach programs to close gaps in cancer outcomes for diverse populations.

Support services for patients

Our patient support services are designed to meet the needs of the whole patient with high-quality, comprehensive care at the time of diagnosis, during treatment and after treatment is completed.

UC Davis is designated as a comprehensive cancer center by the National Cancer Institute, the nation’s top cancer organization. Only 56 other cancer centers have successfully earned this designation, a mark of the highest standards and achievements in cancer research, outreach and education, all of which are reflected in our excellence in patient care.
