Philosophy of Care

I am committed to helping each patient who is planning or experiencing a high-risk pregnancy make the best decisions for themselves and their families. We aim to partner our team's experience and expertise with the priorities and goals of our patients to achieve the best possible outcome together. Apart from patient care, I also enjoy helping educate our women's health physicians-in-training and participating in research to improve the value of the care we provide.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Sudhof is a maternal-fetal medicine specialist who chose this field because she loves the complexity of pregnancy care and wants to be able to help at what is often a particularly vulnerable time. She has special interests in preterm birth, multiple gestation, substance use disorders in the perinatal period, perinatal mental health, and postpartum hemorrhage. She also has expertise in prenatal diagnosis, including amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling, and other fetal procedures.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Sudhof aims to improve the value of maternity care through cost-effectiveness research and quality improvement projects. In addition to collaborating with colleagues at the Perinatal Origins of Disparities Center on various projects, she is working to improve screening for substance use disorders, perinatal depression and anxiety, and social determinants of health to help improve the effectiveness and equity of pregnancy care.
