Chris S. Shin, M.D.

Clinical/Research Interests

My relationship with UC Davis stretches back to my undergraduate training. Throughout my stint here as a medical student and resident the institution has grown by leaps and bounds at a fairly dizzying pace. Being part of something so dynamic is one of the reasons I stayed on as faculty in this system once my training was over. In this system, I serve as a clinician, an educator, and an administrator. My clinical focus includes amputee prosthetic management, non-operative spine care, electro diagnostic testing, and general outpatient rehabilitation. As an educator, I am actively involved in the education of both medical students and residents in the classroom and clinical settings. My administrative duties come as the clinic medical director for the Physical Medicine Rehabilitation clinics at UC Davis. In addition to my work related responsibilities, I also enjoy giving back to the community by volunteering as the musculoskeletal coordinator at the Paul Hom student run free clinic on a monthly basis.
