Making career decisions during residency can be confusing and intimidating, so we want to help our residents with pursuing the career of their choice, whether that is in outpatient general pediatrics or in a pediatric subspecialty. We have a career development series integrated into resident didactics to help residents explore potential careers and provide tools to help with job and fellowship applications.

Our graduating residents choose diverse career options. Approximately 40% of our residents choose to pursue pediatric subspecialty fellowships and the remainder choose to practice general pediatrics or hospitalist medicine.

Each year, each residency class has a one-day getaway full of camaraderie and fun. Mornings are spent in group discussions and hands-on learning to improve teaching skills and career development. Afternoons are spent on team-building activities.
