Welcome to the UC Davis Pediatric Residency Program website! Thank you for your interest in our program.

We are an innovative program whose mission is to train outstanding pediatricians who will serve as leaders in their communities and their profession and have a thorough understanding of the special health care needs of our nation’s most precious resource – children. We realize that every resident is unique and look forward to working with you to tailor your residency experience to help prepare you for your future career goals, whether in community pediatrics, academic pediatrics, or subspecialty pediatrics. We have designed our curriculum to provide you with the skills, knowledge, and experiences needed to be an outstanding pediatrician, advocate, and leader. You will have the opportunity to work closely with amazing residents, faculty, and staff and with a richly diverse patient population and community to provide family-centered care in a supportive environment.

Our greatest assets are our residents, faculty, nurses, and staff – all dedicated to improving the lives of children. We value diversity, equity, and inclusion and strive to create a supportive, collaborative community where we can learn from each other's unique strengths. We work closely with our Committee on Diversity and Healthcare Equity to ensure that our residents have both the didactic and practical experiences necessary to develop and maintain this community. During our annual residency program survey, our residents consistently tell us that the best part of their training is the wonderful teaching they receive from faculty devoted to medical education and patient care. In turn, we believe that our residents are the best part of our training program.

Please explore our website and discover why UC Davis Pediatric Residency Program may be right for you!

I hope that you will seriously consider our program. I look forward to meeting and working with you in the future!

Sincerely,

Su-Ting T. Li, M.D., M.P.H.
