Congratulations to our Faculty who have been selected for Sacramento Magazine's Best Doctors List for 2012

More than 115 UC Davis physicians are on a list of the Sacramento region’s best doctors by an organization that bases its selections on surveys of other physicians. A story about the list is featured in the December 2012 issue of Sacramento Magazine. The list, compiled by Best Doctors, Inc., consists of 194 Sacramento-area doctors covering 51 specialties — nearly 60 percent of whom are UC Davis doctors. The list is based on responses to a survey of physicians that asks them: “If you or a loved one needed a doctor in your specialty, to whom would you refer them?” Our dominant representation on the list is another indication of the high regard others have for our physicians, and this one is particularly gratifying because it reflects the opinions of their peers. UC Davis ranks among the top medical schools in the nation and is a regional resource for training the surgeons, nurses and other health-care professionals of today and tomorrow. At the UC Davis Center for Virtual Care, a variety of sophisticated simulation training tools help create a virtual hospital environment that is ideal for practicing medical procedures such as minimally invasive techniques. The facility includes a robotic-assisted surgical system and laparoscopic equipment. It is the university’s hub for hands-on, no-risk training and skill development.

Our obstetrics and gynecology practices are based on UC Davis Health System’s Sacramento campus, in close proximity to other specialty offices, imaging centers, laboratories, pharmacies and UC Davis Medical Center.
