The UC Davis Department of Pediatrics provides innovative medical education programs at all levels of training, including the Pediatric Residency Program, the Neonatology-Perinatlogy fellowship, the Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics fellowship, the Pediatric Clerkship program, and the Program in Global Child Health.

The UC Davis Department of Pediatrics sponsors a highly selective three year residency training program, which selects a cohort of 12 residents. With 36 total residents each academic year, the program provides training to become not just outstanding pediatricians, but leaders who will serve both their communities and profession.

The UC Davis School of Medicine sponsors over 90 medical students who rotate through the Department of Pediatrics annually for their core pediatric clerkship rotation.  In addition, the Department of Pediatrics offers several pediatric elective and acting internship rotations for 4th year medical students.

The UC Davis Department of Pediatrics currently offers fellowship training in Neonatology-PerinatlogyDevelopmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, and General Academic Pediatrics (Primary Care Outcomes Research Fellowship).

The Global Program in Child Health has several options for training and research, including the Pediatric Resident Core Curriculum in Global Health, Mentored Scholarly Projects for Pediatrics Residents, and the Global/Rural Surgery track.
