Philosophy of Care

My goal is to help facilitate your process of healing by serving as a consultant and advocate for your health. I believe in the importance of having a healing relationship with your physician and providing whole person centered care. To that end, I will seek to understand your health concerns and provide the best evidence-based and evidence-informed recommendations to improve your health and well-being. I generally focus on non-pharmacologic approaches first but do recommend medications when appropriate.

In my free time, I enjoy vegetarian cooking, hiking, meditating, practicing yoga, playing the harmonium, and singing.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Dossett is a general internist who specializes in integrative medicine. She sees patients for integrative medicine consults at the UC Davis Integrative Medicine Clinic. She has extensive experience in using mind-body approaches to reduce stress and mitigate the negative health effects of stress.

Research/Academic Interests

Her second area of research focuses on mind-body medicine and the health benefits of these practices for both patients and clinicians.
