Title: Health Sciences Assistant Professor

Clinical Interest

Dr. Kim is a board-certified dermatologist in both the United States and South Korea. He has completed both M.D. and Ph.D. degrees, four years of dermatology residency training and one year of medical dermatology fellowship at Korea University College of Medicine/Korea University Medical Center, Seoul, Korea. After additional one year of autoimmune blistering disease research fellowship at St George Hospital, Sydney, Australia, he has undertaken 3 years of full-time training in translational research through KL2 Clinical Scholars master’s degree program at the Rockefeller University, New York. Since American Board of Dermatology does not recognize foreign dermatology board certification, he elected to redo the dermatology residency training in the United States. He completed one year of general surgery residency training, and followed by his second dermatology residency training, both completed at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY. As a physician-scientist, Dr. Kim’s interest is translational research in dermatology with a special focus on psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa.
