The Center convenes and leads Communities of Practice (CoP) to engage key stakeholders and community partners in creating and implementing diversity action plans.

Communities of Practice

Three Phase Community of Practice

Schools of Health COP engages teams of faculty and staff from schools of health nationwide.

Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) COP engages teams of clinicians and administrators from FQHCs.

The COP are being structured in three phases. Phase 1, Learning and Planning, is a yearlong extended agenda that serves as the point of entry for COP members. COP members will participate in structured conversations every two months via conference call. In each Phase, the participants will come together for an extended in-person learning session. Phase 2, Implementation, supports each member’s local implementation efforts, begins dissemination work and sets the stage for the next COP. In Phase 3, COP Fellowship, program completers become COP Fellows to co-lead future COPs and lead COP research, training and dissemination efforts.
