The first Art Therapy Course for Children Dealing with Cancer was held this year and culminated with a special exhibit for family and friends. Participants learned to convey their feelings with creative projects such as worry dolls, "cancer monster" drawings, "X-ray" self portraits and happy memento boxes. Greeting cards featuring some of the art are now for sale – $10 per package of eight – and available by calling (916) 734-0823. Proceeds benefit the art course and similar programs.
