Academic Colorectal Surgeon

The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Davis; School of Medicine seeks to recruit a full-time academic position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or full Professor in the Health Science Clinical Professor series; appointment level will depend on experience and qualifications.

The selected candidate will be expected to participate in teaching; clinical care, both inpatient and outpatient; and university service. Qualified candidates must have an M.D. diploma; completed an ACGME accredited and approved Colorectal fellowship; be board certified/eligible in colorectal surgery. The candidate must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment. Additionally, the candidate must acquire a CA Medical License before the start date.

Preferred qualifications include prior experience in administration of clinical and educational programs, demonstrated experience in colorectal cancer and/or IBD, experience in minimally invasive surgery, and a strong interest in clinical education. Salary and level of appointment will be based upon experience and qualifications.
