Stem cell researchUC Davis Health System is charged with discovering and sharing knowledge. Our research program, marked by unique collaboration and partnerships, is rapidly expanding.

Research studies under way — including basic science, translational and clinical research — are funded by private foundations, federal and state government, and the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Below are a few of the research training programs and career development opportunities are available at UC Davis.

Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women's Health

An NIH-sponsored program that provides mentored Ph.D. and M.D. faculty with multidisciplinary training to ensure that they establish independent biomedical research careers in areas relevant to women's health and will create an environment that nurtures non-traditional interdisciplinary collaborations in focused and interactive research areas that are essential to improving the health of women.

Integrating Medicine into Basic Science

A Howard Hughes Medical Institute-sponsored initiative to provide an innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable model for training Ph.D. biologists who will have productive careers in clinically-relevant basic science research.

Mentored Clinical Research Training Program

Provides a solid foundation for clinical / patient-oriented research for junior faculty, clinical and pre-clinical fellows, and post-doctoral scholars.

Stem Cell Training Program

Charged with training pre-doctoral, post-doctoral, and clinical fellows to advance the field of stem cell biology and medicine.
