He is paying particular attention to impart this safety centered philosophy to the young physicians that are learning their profession under his supervision.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Bohringer is a neuroanesthesiologist with an interest in awake craniotomies, deep brain stimulation and spine surgery. He has extensive experience in cardiac anesthesia and transesphageal echocardiography. He has also been extensively involved in the treatment of trauma patients for over 30 years.

He is the district director for the California Society of Anesthesiologists and has been working actively as an alternate delegate for the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

He has been providing free care at the Paul Hom Asian Clinic to patients without health care insurance and language barriers every Saturday since April 2017.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Bohringer has published articles on opioid free anesthesia, multimodal analgesia, neuromuscular blocking drugs and their reversal, intraoperative bronchospasm, the prevention of myocardial injury, airway management and invasive blood pressure measurement. He has also published many case reviews for quality in health care journals.
