Philosophy of Care

Family medicine allows me to develop long-term relationships with my patients. I believe that establishing this type of connection lays the cornerstone for effective medical care and makes me a better doctor. My philosophy of care is based on the approach that good medical care is best achieved through a partnership between doctor and patient, wherein the patient provides the goals and priorities and the physician helps the individual to achieve them. Often the critical factor in health is a question of timing. Some illnesses can be prevented entirely by routine medical attention, while others can be treated early, before they become serious. Having an early opportunity to obtain care and attention to prevention are keys to maintaining good health.
