Wine tasting, food featured at annual benefit for UC Davis Hospice Program


"Celebrate Life!", an annual event featuring wine tasting, food and a silent auction benefiting the UC Davis Hospice Program, will be held on Thursday, May 17, from 5-8 p.m. at the Sierra II Center, 2791 24th St., Sacramento.

The establishments that will be providing the wine and food include:

  • Murrieta's Well
  • Michael David
  • Lake Solano Vineyards
  • Café Vinoteca
  • Berryessa Gap
  • Wente Vineyards
  • Tamas Estates
  • Round Table Pizza

Performing on the piano will be Don Zacharias, associate medical director of the Hospice Program and a family physician at the UC Davis Medical Group office on O Street in Sacramento.

The UC Davis Hospice Program provides care for terminally ill patients who wish to remain at home. Hospice care involves support for patients and their loved ones. UC Davis Hospice serves patients of all ages, including newborns and children, as well as adults, regardless of their ability to pay.

Tickets cost $25 per person in advance and $30 at the door.
