Background

As a major level I referral center, UC Davis Medical Center plays an active and ongoing role in protecting the community from infectious diseases and outbreaks. Staff and infectious-disease experts at the medical center work closely with federal, state and local officials to monitor Zika virus disease and other such conditions, and to assist in overall infectious disease planning, surveillance, and hospital infection-control preparedness.
