Informal Complaint Resolution

UC Davis Health offers a 4-3000 line that serves as discrimination complaint telephone service intended to support all members of our workforce.

The line provides a place to call for confidential information, assistance and referral regarding possible discrimination complaints and information about UC Davis Health's informal review process which attempts to resolve issues or concerns about discrimination and harassment.

Discrimination in Employment

Discrimination in employment is prohibited if it is based on:

  • Race
  • Age (over 40)
  • Marital Status
  • National Origin
  • Ancestry
  • Physical or Mental Disability (including AIDS)
  • Sex
  • Color
  • Sexual Orientation
  • Religion

Discrimination is prohibited in all employment practices including:

  • Advertisements
  • Salary, classification & duties
  • Applications & interviews
  • Hiring, transferring, promoting or leaving a job
  • Licensing or certification
  • Working conditions
  • Referrals by employment agencies
  • Participation in a training or apprenticeship program, employee organization or union
