Prepare a Position Description (Word) or Manager and Senior Professional (MSP) Program position description (Word)
that clearly describes the intended duties and responsibilities for the position, as well as the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Be sure to include any licenses or certificates mandated by law or University policy.

Using the Manager Self Service section of the eHR system, create a job requisition. Be sure to assign a comp approver. In your comments section, list the FTE and the home department cost center, as well as the shift, appointment type and funding account of the new position. Attach the position description. Submit the job requisition following the eHR instructions. If you have not done so, take the online eHR training class on

Use the Compensation Analysts Department Assignments (Ecxel) for Job Requisitions list to locate the comp approver for your requisition.
