Volunteering and Other Ways to Support
We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. ~Winston Churchill
UC Davis Health is grateful to the individuals and corporations who choose to support with their time, treasures and talents of all types.
Volunteer Services has several programs for various services and groups. All programs are designed to assist UC Davis Health in its mission of education, research and public service. These programs add the extra dimension of sensitivity, support, friendliness and service that ease and brighten a patient's hospital stay or clinic visit.

Many donors want to provide a special item for our patients, including those in UC Davis Children’s Hospital. The Child Life program has a wish list with suggested items that help celebrate special milestones and holidays that children may experience while in the hospital.
Healthy individuals with an hour to spare can truly give the gift of life. To donate blood in your community, call BloodSource at 916-456-1500 or 800-995-4420.
Donated Body Program
This unique gift of the human body provides the source for knowledge that is the foundation of medical education and research. UC Davis uses donated cadavers to teach our medical and undergraduate anatomy students the relationship between the systems and structure of the human body. Please inquire through the Donated Body Program at 916-734-9560.
