Planning for the future today

Many donors choose to give a gift through an appreciated asset, stock, real estate, securities, from a living trust, charitable remainder annuity trust, charitable lead trusts, life insurance and more. With the assistance of your personal financial adviser and our UC Davis staff, you can support your passion today or in the future.

Planned gifts can be a meaningful way to contribute to any area of choice – from supporting children’s health to student scholarships to cutting edge research.

Regardless of where your passion lies, UC Davis offers some tools to facilitate the following:

  • What is a Charitable Gift Annuity? Access the tools to learn how to support our mission and receive steady payments during your retirement years
  • Establish an Endowed Gift in which only a small portion of your gift will be spent, allowing the remaining amount to continue growing. That portion of your gift will supplement our programs forever.
  • If you have a family member or friend whose life has been touched by UC Davis Health System, we hope you'll consider making a Memorial or Tribute gift to us in honor or memory of that person. Providing a gift establishes a living tribute allows you to honor a loved one or yourself; support our continuing efforts; and receive personal financial benefits from your contribution.
  • Read about “A Living Legacy: Area Resident Bequeaths Large Donation to Hospice Program” to explore the benefits of a Bequest to the UC Davis Health System.

We encourage you to consult your personal financial advisor about making a gift. UC Davis staff are also available to discuss your personal financial situation in confidence and to respond to requests from attorneys, accountants and financial planners.
