OptumLabs and UC Health

The University of California and UnitedHealth Group have formed a strategic partnership to collaborate and work strategically to improve healthcare. One aspect of the strategic relationship is the research collaboration with OptumLabs, a data-driven research and discovery center, with a focus on working with OptumLabs data sets, analytical tools and collaborations to advance clinical research and translation.

OptumLabs Data Warehouse (OLDW)

OptumLabs is an open, collaborative center for research and innovation focused on improving patient care and value. Their comprehensive real-world data with over 160 million de-identified lives across claims and clinical information contains a rich, linked dataset which can be used to conduct broad or narrow investigations on populations and unique subsets within them.

Use the request link to subscribe to the UC Health/OptumLabs listserv and receive communications about upcoming opportunities and events such as grants or projects calling for collaboration with other OptumLabs partners.

Conducting Research in the OLDW

UC Health and OptumLabs will conduct an annual call for proposals for investigators to receive one of seven funded “research credits” that provide access to the OLDW for a chosen research project. You can find information about previous and upcoming calls on the UC microsite. Make sure to sign up for the listserv to receive notifications.
