Alicia Vasey, R.N., B.S.N., M.S.N.c.

Alicia Vasey, M.S.N., R.N., N.P.D.-B.C., C.C.R.N., received her BSN from Samuel Merritt University, Oakland. She started working at UC Davis Medical Center in the New Graduate Nurse Residency Program on Davis 11 (Trauma Nursing Unit). She then transferred to Tower 2 (Surgical Intensive Care Unit) where she expanded her critical care knowledge. Alicia received her master’s degree from California State University Sacramento with her Masters in the Science of Nursing with an emphasis in leadership and education. 

Alicia’s teaching experience includes unit precepting, a champion for hospital-wide initiatives and committees including Help Us Support Healing (H.U.S.H.), and Organ Donation Action Team (O.D.A.T). In addition to creating and implementing unit-based skills days, Alicia has also been involved in her Unit-Practice Council and has assisted in “Just in Time Teaching” for various skills on each of her units.  

Prior to her nursing career, Alicia was an American Red Cross Instructor and Instructor Trainer, teaching Health and Safety classes to her community. She led an Aquatic/Health and Safety program for her local park and recreation district, which fostered her passion for helping others, and ultimately inspired her to pursue her nursing profession.

Alicia is passionate about nursing education and is excited to be part of the CPPN team.
