Course description

This instructor-led course meets Joint Commission requirements for UC Davis Health staff. Course curriculum follows guidelines based on current research, resuscitative science journals and papers, including the current AHA guidelines for CPR and emergency cardiovascular care. High quality CPR steps for adult/child/infant and AED skills are taught. Class size is limited; please sign up early. Cancel registration if you are unable to attend.

All employees who are required to maintain their CPR certification are also encouraged to renew during the next biennial CPR renewal cycle (occurring Jan/Feb odd years). There are limited options for those who do not renew during the biennial CPR renewal cycles.

UC Davis Health certificates of completion will be issued to participants who pass the written evaluation and correctly demonstrate skills on the mannequins. If you need an AHA CPR card you should take an AHA course.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing or scrubs. You will be practicing skills that require working on your hands, bending, standing, and lifting. If you have physical conditions that might prevent you from participating in the course, please notify us prior to the course. The instructor will work to accommodate your needs within the stated course completion requirements.

$25 registration deposit. Registration deposit is returned upon completion of class. Cancellation must be requested five days prior to class date to receive deposit refund.

Parking is available in lot 25, approximately one block from the Broadway Building on 50th Street adjacent to the MIND Institute. Park with a UC Davis parking permit, or purchase a daily permit for $6.
