Come participate in a series of weekly yoga classes, open to all levels of physical ability – from beginners to advanced yoga practitioners. No matter what treatment you are receiving or where you are in survivorship, the poses will be accessible to you. Young Adult Bereavement Art Group begins

The UC Davis Hospice Program and UC Davis Children's Hospital Bereavement Program will offer an eight-week Young Adult Bereavement Art Group for individuals 17 to 24 who are coping with the recent loss of a loved one. Each session will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the UC Davis Home Care Services Building, 3630 Business Drive, Suite F, Sacramento. No cost for participation. 8 Weeks to a Healthier You

This educational series consists of 8 classes, 2 hours each. Ideal for those with a chronic health condition (for example excessive weight, arthritis, diabetes, asthma, heart failure, high cholesterol, depression, etc) struggling to achieve their health goals. The series provides insightful approaches to behavior and lifestyle change aimed to help participants overcome barriers. The series is facilitated by a health professional and engages guest speakers such as Dietitians, Nurses, and/or Pharmacists. The classes are open to UC Davis Health System patients. 8th Annual Princess Promenade Bike Ride

Women of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in this cycling event — cosponsored by UC Davis Health System — that highlights the importance of physical activity to cardiac health. Representatives of the Women’s Cardiovascular Medicine Program will be on hand to promote awareness of heart disease prevention. Location: American River Parkway Bike Trail, Discovery Park 100 Jibboom St., Sacramento (The Point Picnic Area). Lois O'Grady Lectureship: Curing Germ Cell Cancer: Lessons Learned and Impact on Solid Tumor Drug Development

Hear Dr. Lawrence Einhorn from the University of Iowa School of Medicine speak. Einhorn’s clinical interests include solid tumor oncology, specifically within the fields of genitourinary and lung cancers. His legacy will be forever linked, however, with revolutionizing testicular cancer treatment. At one point, patients diagnosed with testicular cancer had approximately a 10 percent chance of survival when they developed metastatic disease. Reqistration not required. The American Heart Association Family & Friends CPR course is for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card in CPR for their job. This course is ideal for schools and students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life.
