Patients are urged to contact her with their questions and concerns as successful outcomes depend upon a thorough understanding of both vascular disease and the options for treatment.

Neroda has been recognized by the Division of Surgery as “Employee of the Year”. She has received “Excellence in Nursing” awards from peers, and been honored by the Daisy Foundation in appreciation of her work. She is a volunteer facilitator for the Sacramento Amputee Support Group, and is registered with the Sacramento County Department of Public Health as a disaster volunteer.

A San Francisco native, Sheila Neroda received her BA in Zoology from UC Berkeley in 1977. She went on to receive a BS in Nursing from CSU Sacramento, in 1979. She holds a Public Health Nurse Certification and is also an ANCC Certified Cardiovascular Nurse.

Neroda has worked in a variety of positions at the University of California, Davis Medical Center, all related to the care of the surgical patient. From oncology, trauma, plastics, orthopedics, head and neck, and gastrointestinal surgery to cardiac and vascular surgery, Neroda has a broad base of experience from which to provide information regarding best practices in patient care.
