Passage
of stem-cell initiative to benefit UC Davis
The passage of
Proposition 71 in Tuesday’s general election calls for
the chancellors of five UC campuses, including UC Davis, to
name appointees to a 29-member Independent Citizens Oversight
Committee that will administer distribution of the $3 billion
in grants and loans set aside for stem-cell research by the
