Kret-Sudijian
joins Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
Elena V. Kret-Sudijian
was appointed assistant professor in the Division of Pulmonary
and Critical Care Medicine, effective July 1. She will serve
as a hospitalist and attending physician on the Medical Service
Ward.
Kret-Sudijian
earned her medical degree from the Vinnitsa Medical Institute
in the Ukraine in 1981. She also holds a Ph.D. from the Institute
of Doctor's Comprehension in Moscow. In addition to her medical
degree and doctorate, she completed a five-year fellowship
program in clinical nutrition in Russia.
Kret-Sudijian
has been honored for outstanding performance by the Vinnitsa
Children's Hospital in the Ukraine and also received a special
lectureship in pediatric clinical nutrition in Parma, Italy.
She has researched the effects of Orlistat (Xenical) in the
treatment of obesity and investigated high-density lipoproteins
as biomarkers of a low-fat diet. She is a member of the American
College of Physicians.
