C. Lim joins
Department of Ophthalmology
Michele C. Lim
joined the Department of Ophthalmology as an assistant professor
on Sept. 5.
Lim, who specializes
in glaucoma, received her medical degree from the UCLA School
of Medicine in 1995. She also has fellowship training in glaucoma
from the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of
Miami. Lims research focuses on the chevron measurements
of digital, stereoscopic optic nerve images in glaucoma patients.
Her other studies include a chart review of cataract surgery
effects on Baerveldt Glaucoma Implant survival and the comparison
of latanoprost and timolol in the postcataract patient.
Lim also has an
interest in surgical instrument design and has devised a unique
conjunctival forceps that is being manufactured by Bausch
and Lomb Surgical. She will be seeing patients at both UC
Davis Medical Center and the Roseville office of UC Davis
Medical Group.
