Department of Ophthalmology

Michele C. Lim joined the Department of Ophthalmology as an assistant professor on Sept. 5.

Lim, who specializes in glaucoma, received her medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine in 1995. She also has fellowship training in glaucoma from the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami. Lim’s research focuses on the chevron measurements of digital, stereoscopic optic nerve images in glaucoma patients. Her other studies include a chart review of cataract surgery effects on Baerveldt Glaucoma Implant survival and the comparison of latanoprost and timolol in the postcataract patient.

Lim also has an interest in surgical instrument design and has devised a unique conjunctival forceps that is being manufactured by Bausch and Lomb Surgical. She will be seeing patients at both UC Davis Medical Center and the Roseville office of UC Davis Medical Group.
