Balsbaugh joins Department of Family and
Community Medicine

Thomas Andrew Balsbaugh joined the Department of Family and Community Medicine as an assistant professor on Sept. 1. He earned his medical degree in 1995 from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice in 1998.

In addition to his faculty duties, Balsbaugh works with the Clinical Quality Improvement program through the UC Davis primary care network. He is currently researching ways in which to integrate hand-held technology into clinical quality improvement methodology. Balsbaugh is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, and American Medical Association.
