Klein joins Department of Anesthesiology
and Pain Medicine

Norma J. Klein has joined the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine as an associate professor.

Klein has a nursing degree from Weber State College and a bachelor of science degree from the University of Utah, which she received in 1979. She later earned her medical degree at the University of Utah School of Medicine in 1984.

Klein completed residency training in pediatrics, anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology. She holds dual board certification from the American Board of Anesthesiology, awarded in 1992, and from the American Board of Pediatrics, in 1995.

Klein has clinical and research interests in pediatric anesthesiology. Her research projects also focus on legalities in medicine. At UC Davis, she will work as a pediatric anesthesiology attending physician. She is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
