Gonzales joins Department of Anesthesiology

Cynthia Gonzales has joined the Department of Anesthesiology as an assistant professor, working in the general anesthesiology section.

Gonzales received her undergraduate degree from the University of the Philippines in 1985. Her medical degree was confirmed in 1990 by the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay in the Philippines. She completed her internal medicine internship at Cabrini Medical Center, New York Medical College, in 1995, and did her residency in anesthesiology at the University of Massachusetts, finishing in 1998.

Gonzales received her fellowship training in pediatric anesthesiology at the University of Southern California from 1998-1999. She has clinical and research interests in the field of pediatric anesthesiology. She is a member of the California Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Medical Association, the Philippine Medical Association and the Philippine Society of Neurosciences.
