Kiyoung
Lee joins Department
of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine
Kiyoung Lee has
joined the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine
as an assistant professor to teach and conduct research on
exposure assessment of occupational and environmental hazards.
Lee has conducted
extensive research in exposure assessment, exposure mitigation
techniques and the biological effects of exposure. His research
interests include developing new methods for measuring personal
exposure to environmental air pollution, assessing human exposure
to environmental and occupational pollutants, and indoor air
quality.
He received his
doctor of science degree in environmental science and engineering
from Harvard University, and served as an instructor in the
university's Department of Environmental Health from 1994
to 1997. He is certified by the American Board of Industrial
Hygiene.
In addition to
his scholarly credentials, Lee is an accomplished athlete,
having won the silver medal in downhill skiing at the 1985
Korean National Games.
