Golf
Fore Kids, a tournament to benefit the UC
Davis CAARE Diagnostic and Treatment Center, Twelve Bridges
Golf Course, Lincoln. The CAARE Center serves more than 3,000
children a year who are suspected victims of sexual or physical
abuse. Spots for individual golfers are still available for
a registration fee of $160. The fee covers 18 holes of golf,
a cart, lunch, buffet dinner, a shirt, gift certificates,
prizes and a bag of miscellaneous golf items. Registration
on the day of the event will start at 11 a.m., and the tee
time is 1 p.m. For information on participating in the tournament,

Future Revolutions in Cancer:
From Bench to Bedside,
part of the Coming of Age lecture series sponsored by the
UC Davis Center for Healthy Aging, UC Davis Cancer Center

time in cancer research. This presentation will provide a
glimpse into the future of cancer treatment, including designer
chemotherapy based on a patients genetic profile, and
new biomedical devices that may help detect cancer at its
earliest stages without the need for a biopsy. The speaker
is Ralph deVere White, chair and professor of urology and
