Tuesday, June 20, 6:30 p.m.
"Unraveling the Mystery of Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia," part of the "Coming of Age" lecture series presented by the UC Davis Center for Aging and Health. The newest information about Alzheimer's disease and non-typical dementia will be presented, in addition to developments in diagnosis, clinical drug trials and treatment. The speaker is William J. Wednesday, June 21, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Diversity Appreciation Day, Thank Goodness For Staff Day luncheon and awards ceremony, corner of 45th and X Streets. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with award presentations starting at noon. Incentive Awards, Diversity Appreciation Awards and Staff Offering Service Awards will be presented.

"QiGong Healing Practices," part of the Learn-at-Lunch series of classes sponsored by the Academic and Staff Assistance Program (ASAP). ASAP employs two Licensed Clinical Social Workers and provides free counseling for UC Davis Health System employees and their families in areas such as stress, substance abuse, financial difficulties and problems in the workplace. "Use of Complementary and Alternative Therapies in a Multi-Ethnic Sample of Midlife Women," part of a seminar series sponsored by the UC Davis Center for Health Services Research in Primary Care. The speaker is Yali Blair, a Ph.D. student in the Graduate Group in Epidemiology. The seminar series is intended to provide a forum for discussing and learning new methods in health services research and clinical epidemiology. A free seminar on "Facial Rejuvenation" will be presented by Thomas P. Whetzel, associate professor of plastic surgery, in the Patient Support Services Building auditorium.
