Fishman elected as a director of American Pain Society

Scott M. Fishman, associate professor and chief, Division of Pain Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, has been elected to a three-year term as a director of the American Pain Society. As a director, Fishman will be responsible for implementing the society's missions to advance pain-related research, education, professional practice and pain treatment modalities.

The American Pain Society is a multidisciplinary organization of basic and clinical scientists, practicing clinicians, policy analysts, and others interested and working in the field of pain medicine and pain management.
